
Rules and regulations
"It's all fun and games until someone loses an eye!" Isn't that what mom always used to say? Well, whether or not you agree with it, that statement holds true. While we love to see our guests have a great time, we ask that you respect these rules not only for your own safety but the safety and consideration of others as well. If we all do our part, everyone gets to enjoy a safe, clean, and family friendly environment!
SECTION I: GENERAL RULES

Lot rent is payable on May 15th. Payment will be accepted up until June 1st without penalty. Payment “arrangements” are not available, nor are they an option. Please do not ask.

An individual may enter the campground area to pick up/drop off a person or item without registering and/or paying visitor fee ONLY if they exit the property within 30 min. of entering.

All visitors MUST register at camp office upon entering the property – NO EXCEPTIONS.
-
Absolutely no swimming is allowed in either of the ponds located on camp property.
-
Registered campers must be at least 18 years old.
-
Each site is allowed one camper or one tent, occupied by one family.
-
The definition of “family” consists of 1 or 2 adults and dependent children under the age of 18, or any child with a disability still residing in the family home.
-
Parents are responsible for their children and/or any minor children visiting at their site.
-
No sub-leasing or renting of camp site is allowed.
-
No “squatters” rights. If you are unsure of where your site boundaries are, please see management.
-
No cutting of trees or shrubs without prior approval of Management.
-
Water, gas, electrical and sewer lines are buried throughout the camp. Check with Management before you dig.
-
No tampering with utilities or camp machinery.
-
No washing of cars or excessive use of water.
-
Gray “sink” water only is allowed to be discharged into gray water holding tank in the ground.
-
Shower water and toilet water will be discharged into your own self-contained tank on your unit.
-
Each camper is responsible for maintaining RV tanks according to factory recommendations (chemicals).
-
Tenants must notify Management when it is determined that either the gray water holding tank (in the ground) or the black water holding tank in the RV is in need of pumping. DO NOT WAIT UNTIL THE TANK IS COMPLETELY FULL, since most all pumping will be done during the week.

Exterior extension cords must be 12 gauge wire.
-
Household size/capacity appliances are not allowed for primary or secondary use at camp.
-
Minibikes, dirt bikes, and ATV’s are not allowed.
-
Bicycles are not allowed to be ridden after dark without an equipped light.
-
Permission is required for the construction or set up of any storage shed. No shed shall be bigger than 8 x 8, or considered a permanent structure (shed must be able to be moved) .
-
All dogs will be kept on a leash at all times. You MUST clean up after your pet.
-
If dogs become a nuisance and complaints are made, you will be required to muzzle or remove the dog from the campground.
-
Quiet hours are Sunday – Thursday 11:00pm to 8:00am, Friday-Saturday 12:30am – 8:00am.

Speed limit throughout the camp is 5 mph, this to include golf carts.
-
Respect your fellow camper’s site and right to privacy.
-
Do not cut across lots on foot or in a car/golf cart.
-
There is NO SMOKING ALLOWED in the bath house or the pavilion, by order of the Chautauqua Health Department.
-
Fireworks are not allowed in the campground.
-
The use of firearms is prohibited on the property during camping season.
-
Hunting during off season is permitted only after obtaining written permission by the owner. (Annually)
-
Honor the catch and release program when fishing at the ponds.
-
Do not leave hooks, bait containers or any other trash on the banks of the ponds. If you bring it, take it back with you. For the health and safety of the pond and other campers, please dispose of any hooks and/or trash you may find left behind by others.

DO NOT LITTER ANYWHERE ON THE CAMPGROUNDS.

Excessive noise, vulgar and or obscene language will not be tolerated.
-
Owner/Management is not responsible for any accident or injury sustained while on camp property.
-
Owner/Management is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged property due to acts of mischief or acts of nature.
SECTION 2: GOLF CART USE
-
All golf carts are to be equipped with working head and tail lights.
-
You must be at least 16 years old to operate a golf cart on camp property.
-
Camp speed limits apply to golf carts,
-
Do not “joy” ride during quiet hours.
-
All golf carts will be parked within the limits of your campsite or its designated parking area.
-
Do not drive on the grass unless absolutely necessary.
-
Do not drive across lots.
-
DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE, golf carts are just as dangerous as cars!
SECTION 3: PAVILION USE
-
Do not walk on benches or tables.
-
Do not sit or lean against serving tables. Tables should remain down when not in use for potluck dinners.
-
Do not sit on, or set drinks on ping pong table or pool table.
-
If you use the ping pong table or pool table, it is your responsibility to replace the cover when you are through.
-
If you play any games, (video game, board game, cards, etc.) please put them away and turn off all equipment.
-
Do not attempt to access locked cabinets in Pavilion.
-
If you bring food or drinks into the pavilion, please discard it in trash cans and replace lids.
-
Pavilion is available to reserve for private group parties. To reserve a date, you must coordinate with Activities Coordinator and manager for availability. A small fee and deposit may be required.
-
Most available forms of entertainment (board games, TV, video, DVD’s) have been donated. Please take extra care in the safe keeping of these items.
-
Misuse or vandalism will result in limited use and/or restriction of its use.
SECTION 4: GRAY AND BLACK WATER DISPOSAL

The only thing to be drained into the underground gray water holding tanks is SINK water.
-
Toilet and shower water should be drained into your own self-contained black water tank.
-
Self-contained black water tanks and gray water tanks will be pumped by campground personnel on an as needed basis. It is the tenant’s responsibility to notify Management BEFORE the tank is full.
-
Each camper is responsible for using the manufacturers recommended chemicals and paper products in their tanks.
-
Campers will be billed for each pumping.
SECTION 5: CAMPSITE MAINTENANCE
Each seasonal tenant is required to maintain their own lot. This maintenance is to include:

Mowing and trimming grass (May15th – October 15th)

Raking of leaves
-
Trash removal
DO NOT STORE OR ACCUMULATE JUNK OF ANY KIND ON OR AROUND YOUR SITE!
IF SITE MAINTENANCE IS NEGLECTED AT ANY TIME DURING THE SEASON, CAMP PERSONNEL WILL BRING YOUR SITE UP TO STANDARD AND A FEE WILL BE CHARGED.
SECTION 6: BATH HOUSE RULES

Hot showers, flush toilets and sinks are available for your use. Misuse of the bathhouse facility will not be tolerated.

If misuse or vandalism is detected, the building will be locked at dusk in order to monitor more closely.

Please pick up after yourself, your children and your guests.
-
If the bathhouse is in need of attention, please contact management immediately.

There is NO SMOKING ALLOWED in the bathhouse, by order of the Chautauqua Health Department.

Safety and cleanliness are very important to us! If you see something that doesn't seem right, safe, or clean please contact the camp managers. They will handle the situation to the best of their ability as soon as they are able to.

Directions to the hospital from Arkwright Hills Campground:
Make a right hand turn out of the camp driveway. Follow NY-83 N for approximately 2.8 miles to NY-60 N and make another right hand turn. Stay on NY-60 N for approximately 4.9 miles. Make a left hand turn onto E 6th St and go approximately .6 miles. Make a right hand turn and the hospital will be on the left hand side of the road.
